  • Bug Fixes: Addressed known issues from previous versions.  This can help to address any support issues stemming from bugs in older versions

  • New Features: Take advantage of new Relay features to optimize and enhance your program

Permissions Required Before Starting

  • Before beginning the upgrade, ensure you have:

  • Salesforce System Administrator Access

  • Permission to Install and Modify Packages

  • Modify All Data and View Setup and Configuration permissions

  • Ability to edit Named Credentials and Connected Apps

  • Access to modify Permission Sets

Upgrade Steps

  1. Verifying the Version of the Installed Package (Relay Network)

  2. Back Up Your Data (Recommended)

    1. Before proceeding, create a Sandbox copy of your environment if possible

    2. Export critical data using your preferred tool, if necessary

  3. Install the Updated Package

    1. Access the latest package link here:

    2. Select Install for All Users

    3. Click Install

    4. Wait for the installation to complete (Salesforce should notify you via email upon completion)

  4. Verify Installation Success

    1. Return to Installed Packages in Setup

    2. Locate Relay Network and confirm that the Version Number is now updated

  5. Configure Updated Settings (New for Version 1.25+)

    1. Custom Metadata Configuration:

      • Navigate to Setup > Custom Metadata Types > Relay Network Settings

      • Click Manage Records and ensure the Relay Client ID is correctly set

      • Ensure Account CCID Field Name and Account Relay Consent Field Name are configured

      • Click Save

    2. Named Credentials:

      • Navigate to Setup > Named Credentials

      • Update the RelayNetwork Named Credential if necessary to match new security updates

    3. Connected App Configuration:

      • Verify that the Relay Connected App is still authorized under App Manager

      • Ensure the correct Consumer Key and OAuth Scopes are set
